HOD Human Resource

The Department of Human Resource & Development has continued to play its pivot role of facilitating exemplary service delivery through the provision of quality and relevant human resources as well as maintaining a conducive work environment to deliver on the mandate.

The college leads in imparting competence-based skills to trainees with diverse special needs and disabilities in East and Central Africa. To match performance to this esteemed status, we have had to set and strictly adhere to a culture of high standards service delivery and our commitment being quality service and not mere certification.

In the last 3 years, the College has realized substantial human resource growth with the expansion of our academic programmes and increasing student enrolment.

We have put in place a number of policies to govern our operations including the Human Resources Policy and Procedures manual which has enabled us to inject a lot more objectivity and rationality in recruitment, remunerating, promoting and developing our staff. Our engagement with staff unions remain cordial as all of us continue working to realize the same common vision of a College of Excellence in training, research and innovation.

The secret to a motivated team remains the trust bestowed upon us by the stakeholders, which humbles us and the numerous statements of support and congratulations encourage us to keep moving forward.
